Code of Conduct

At BrébeufHx, inclusivity and respect are principles that we highly value, because everyone should be able to hack in a safe and kind space.

This is why every participant must abide by the following Code of Conduct.

Any form of harassment is not tolerated. Offensive behaviour related to the following are prohibited:

  • gender;

  • age;

  • sexual orientation;

  • disability;

  • physical appearance;

  • body size;

  • race;

  • religion;

  • social class;

  • economic status;

  • sexual images;

  • deliberate intimidation;

  • stalking;

  • harassing photography or recording;

  • sustained disruption of talks or other events;

  • inappropriate physical contact;

  • unwelcome sexual attention;

  • any other topic that may discomfort someone.

Sponsors, judges, mentors, volunteers, organizers, and anyone else participating in the event are also subject to this Code of Conduct.

Participants should not use sexualised images, activities, or other material in their hacks and during the event.

If a participant engages in harassing behaviour, BrébeufHx will take the appropriate actions, which may include warnings or expulsion from the hackathon.

Everyone participating in any way in the event is expected to abide by the above Code of Conduct.
